being the first sunday of a new semester, mark and kaibei decided to organize paintball for us old birds since we all know that by later in the season we'd all be tied down with work.
USD20, 500 paintballs each. you should see how many people wore slacks today. mine even had my insigna on, while the army scholars even had camouflaged camel bags. we had quite a few variety of games, from capture the flag, to hide and seek, to protecting the president, and finally simply an all out elimination assault. there was even a scenario where all 24 of us had to hunt down this one sniper who worked at the paintball ground. boy was he good.
my favorite was the scenario where half the group had to protect the president (a staff-cum-paintballer) while the other half was lead by the sniper to snipe them down. daniel quek and i were appointed to wait and backstab them from behind. so i waited patiently for them to slowly progress, while being assaulted now and then by the snipers. somehow daniel quek was discovered and he was killed before we could proceed, so it was just me who had to backstab alone.
so i hid from cover to cover and begun sniping them down one by one. it was way cool, they had no idea what hit them, even after they were shot. the feeling of being a hunter is simply awesome.
